SPECIAL COMMITTEES Education/Outreach Committee The purpose of the Education and Outreach committee is to promote the value and role of lobbying to decision makers and the general public and to provide mentoring opportunities to the next generation of lobbyists. This includes raising awareness of the part lobbyists play in upholding citizens First Amendment rights to petition the government for redress of grievances and increasing public understanding and appreciation of the legitimacy and necessity of lobbying in our democratic process.
Program Committee The purpose of the Programs Committee is to connect members with pertinent policymakers and topics and promote the profession of legislative representation.
Technology/Facilities Committee The purpose of the Technology/Facilities Committee is to: Develop and manage the Associations website and social media outlets including but not limited to Linked In, Facebook and Twitter as a way of effectively communicating our message to the MGRC membership and to communicate to others regarding the MGRC mission. Oversee all functions of room 315 including internet service, copier, phone lines, TV, furnishings, etc. Maintain relationships with Capitol security and others involved in the management of the Capitol facilities to ensure that the interests of our membership and the public are represented while maintaining the integrity the Capitol complex.

STANDING COMMITTEES Executive Committee The Executive Committee is composed of the four corporate officers plus the immediate Past President and will have and exercise all the powers delegated to it by the Board of Directors in the management and direction of the corporation between Board meetings.
Nominations Committee The Nominations Committee consists of five persons from the MGRC membership appointed by the President with approval of the Executive Committee. This committee will nominate members for the Board under provisions of Article V, Section 2, subject to election by the membership at the annual meeting. The committee will also nominate the officers of the corporation under provisions of Article VI, Section 2, subject to the election by the Board of Directors.
Ethics Committee The Ethics Committee consists of six persons appointed by the Board of Directors for terms established by the Board of Directors. This committee is to serve as a forum for reviewing specific complaints against individual lobbyists who are members of the corporation; and, in general, to develop policies and guidelines, including the process to review specific complaints, for Board approval which will raise the standards of ethical responsibility and increase the public acceptance of the profession of lobbying.
